There’s no better way to experience Watkins then by taking a tour of the school with one of our Admissions Representatives. All of our reps are artists and understand the importance of finding the right creative environment to learn, explore and grow. Our tours last approximately 45 – 60 minutes and encompass views of each of the five departments – Fine Art, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Photography and Film. Tours of the residential apartments are offered at the end for those that are interested in on campus housing. During the tour you will learn about our foundation / studio classes, general education and the various ways Watkins prepares students to be professional artists.

Watkins Studio Experience

You don’t have to imagine art school; with Watkins’s Studio Experience, you can immerse yourself in it right now. Tour the residence halls, dine at the cafe, relax in the library, attend a gallery talk, speak with your future peers, take a class with our faculty, experiment with high-end equipment, and make work.


1:00 – 2:30pm   Experience Watkins
Join your student guide as they take you on a journey through a day in the life of a student at Watkins. Learn about our state of the art print center, relax in the library as our head librarian shows you the ropes, sit in on a gallery talk with our seniors, and let our students show you around our residence halls.

2:30 – 5:00pm   Experience the Studio
Time to create. See what being a Watkins student is all about by taking a class with our faculty.
